Actually I dont want my post to kind of bury pearlyn's cos the previous effective educational post will be flooded to behind. Moreover her language usage was accurate and serious, so those who haven't read that pls scroll down. [:

Just want to say somethings regarding ytd and today's issue.
I know some of the sec 2s are not very happy about me and some other snrs for scolding you all ytd. (Mainly me la, cos i was the one who scolded you)

First of all I want to clarify that I did not enjoy scolding you all ytd. I know I'm also a junior to the sec4s (not the age problem, cos the definition of junior is : A person lesser in rank or time of participation or service), so I don't actually have the right to scold you. That was why me and other sec3s didnt step out and scream immediately even if we were a bit offended. When co ended, I asked jinglan and she gave approval for us to do that.

I'm sure that many of you are very glad to have new juniors coming into co cos the process of becoming a senior is enjoyable, as you all can see your cute innocent juniors already. But as time passes we'll realise that being a senior has certain responsibilities. It's not just to play and joke around with juniors (like what we usually do), but you have to really lead them in a correct way. Trust me, it's really heart-rending to see that your juniors are displaying bad behaviours or not showing respects, or what we say AP.

As you can see seniors are working so hard to keep xianyue running well. Not only jinglan and pearlyn or sec3s, our year5 seniors, the graduated seniors are all looking forward to see our performances. All our seniors, from many years ago to the year5s, all worked hard for syf with their heart and soul. (you'll see what is the real 'tears of joy' when you witnessed 2007's syf)

We mustn't disappoint them.

And that is why ytd we were really angry to see your attitude. Frankly speaking, I was an AP junior in sec1, I believe that many seniors have witnessed the change in me (after receiving vaiours lectures from seniors). So pls forgive your seniors for doing that ytd, cos we were all being scolded by the previous SL (you-knw-who), that was way more serious than ytd's lecture.

And for today, maybe some of you don't knw what happened, but ya, some seniors are saddened by your attitude once again, the attitude after you're are being scolded. The 2 SLs and other seniors are really hoping to see the change in you.
Hope from today onwards, we'll still be good friends, jnr and snr, we can joke, play, laugh, have fun together, but we can also practice, learn and improve together. In fact if you care to read some seniors' blog archive, you'll realise that what makes the section bonded is not the 'playing&laughing', but the 'practices&lessons'.

So ya, here I officially apologise for being harsh ytd, if you are still unable to get over it, pls contact me& talk to me.

Hi all, Here are some issues I wna address. hope all of you will do some reflections and improve for the better.

Regarding today's lecture by the sec3s:

Firstly, from what ive heard from yueyao, yol were singing and playing during practice.this should not be case because its afterall a practice session. &syf is nearing. yol might be thinking that results is everything that matters to us.but we all shld be less selfish &consider sparing a thought for rvco as a whole right? there are definitely others out there who are putting in much effort than you do. im not implying that yol didnt work hard. i just feel that your attitude is an aspect that yol should consider improving. the way you squander all your practice sessions away and not taking lessons srsly really puts us off. &to think that, yol can still support each other by saying that we snrs are no role models and deceive yourselves that yol are the best. we may not be good role models but i think yol should know and do what is morally right.the issue here is not about being bonded or how cohesive yol are. so what if there are cliques among snrs. dont yol have closer friends too? i dont see whats wrong with it, esp when you,at the same time, can work well with the others.

Secondly, i hope all of you truly undestand what the term "attitude problem" or "AP" in short means. it refers to the display of inappropriate behaviour. Inappropriate behavior like telling your snrs off when their so called "irksome" erhu melody interrupted your singing, giving snrs your ap faces when they point out your mistakes, walking along the corridors &hopping from class to class, msging during practice sessions and so on.

Thirdly, do you know why your section leaders cant speak up and lecture you guys today? cos we werent practicing in the same classroom! &therefore how are we supposed to say something. it is perfectly fine for snrs, regardless of which level, to lecture jnrs if their perf is not meeting expectations. Another point tht you ignorant ltl brats might not know, is that yueyao is of the same age as the sec4s, which gives her the right to lecture yol, even if its front of the two sls. Hope yol can have more respect for your snrs thank you.

To the upper sec:
your attitude is also very much of a problem. Shall make this clear here, that all practice sessions are complusory with the exception of valid reasons. Reasons like "Im meeting my supplier" etc is unacceptable. Of all times you chose a cca day to meet up with your whoever whoever. great! this will not be tolerated. Smsing throughout the whole practice session is NOT ALLOWED also. You-know-who, please be discreet about the msging thing. loitering along corridors is NOT ALLOWED.

due to very bad response, we have decided to postpone the outing to 13nov, wed at sentosa. its the first week of the hols, hope more pple can make it. meet at 11am at habourfront mrt station. if possible, bring along some finger food. :D

we can have a 3d2n chalet at coasta sands downtown east on 10-12dec (wed-fri). the promotional package rates (with bbq pit) is 300bucks. we need a parent who is a ntuc card member and is willing to accompany us to check in on that day. is any mom/ dad willing? pls msg me (pearlyn) to tell me if yol can make it on the above dates.thanks! <3!
